This wine came about as a result of an unpredictable and challenging 2022 vintage, and we were not able to produce our beloved Doctor Cabernet Sauvignon.
We were able, however, to source excellent Cabernet from the Clare Valley to produce a similar style to those from the Hunter and when blended with some Cabernet from the Barossa, this Wildcard was created. It is a medium bodied style, and exhibits aromas of mint, chocolate and liquorice. The flavours all tie together to create a rich and ripe palate, with soft silky tannins, to be enjoyed for many years to come
