Some of you may be aware that our winemaker Craig Brown Thomas is a self-confessed Francophile when it comes to wine. He loves the history of the vineyards, the old-style winemaking, an afternoon siesta and of course the finished product.

He is not alone with this love affair of French wines, and he found himself a partner in crime with fellow cellar door staffer, Gary Taylor.   Quite often you would find Gary and Craig delighting over a recent Vouvray they tasted, discussing the merits of Premier Cru vs Grand Cru Chateau’s and imparting their knowledge (and sharing their wines) with us on a regular basis.  So, after many conversations with interested members in the cellar door, Craig and Gary have decided to extend their knowledge and passions to our wine club members, in a side project – our French Wine Club.

We have had great interest from our members in regards to this side project and will be hosting  tastings on the SECOND and FOURTH Sundays each month.  The first of these tasting dates and timeslots are listed below.  I will update these as each timeslot books out, as we will only be taking 10 people in each tasting.

So we don’t bother our Club 1733 members who are not interested in French wines you will only receive information about our French Wine Project if you have registered to join this group.  If you have not done so, you can do this via the link below.
